Anthurium Warocqueanum, famously known as the “Queen Anthurium”, is one of the most admired species in the Anthurium genus. Native to Colombia, this plant is celebrated for its luxurious, elongated velvet leaves that exude elegance and sophistication, making it a centerpiece in rare plant collections worldwide.
Leaves: The leaves are long, narrow, and velvety in texture, with a deep green to almost black background color. Prominent silvery-white veins run along the surface, creating a striking contrast that enhances its regal look. Mature leaves can grow up to 1–2 meters in length, making them both dramatic and graceful.
Texture & Color: The foliage has a velvety finish, adding a soft and rich texture that distinguishes it from most other Anthuriums. The younger leaves often emerge lighter green before maturing into darker tones.
Flower: Produces a typical Anthurium inflorescence with a greenish to maroon spathe and spadix. However, it is primarily grown for its foliage rather than its blooms.
Plant Height: A climbing species that thrives when given a support structure, capable of growing impressively large under proper care.
